Funding
According to the 2023-2026 strategy, funding requests are only receivable for projects. Program funding is reserved for organizations already funded by FAI and is proposed at the initiative of the Foundation.
PROJECTS
The minimum criteria for submitting an application for project funding are as follows:
1) Applications must come from recognized non-profit, public benefit organizations with documented experience.
2) Only Development Cooperation projects that meet the criteria of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, sustainability and coherence will be considered. In exceptional cases, humanitarian activities too can be funded.
3) Projects that include a significant component of capacity building and development.
4) Initiatives that promote solidarity and a culture of cooperation will be given special consideration.
Among the applications submitted, priority will be given to those projects with significant synergy with FAI-supported programs, to increase and broaden impact and the creation of networks and alliances.
The application for project funding is a two steps process:
1) PRELIMINARY STAGE
The preliminary application consists in a summary form that is intended to describe in general terms the initiative for which funding is requested. The submission of the preliminary application is free.
2) COMPLETION STAGE
Only applications that pass the preliminary stage will be required to fill in a second, more detailed form. The completed form will be sent by FAI to only those proposals that meet the outlined criteria and for which a funding possibility is identified. Passing the preliminary stage does not guarantee funding, which will be decided only at the end of the evaluation process.
IMPORTANT
You will find the Preliminary Application Form here: italian version, english version.
You can submit the completed Preliminary Application Form along with the attachments specified in the document to info@fondationassistanceinternationale.ch.
FAI Secretariat is committed to following up on applications as quickly as possible.
Only complete applications submitted via e-mail will be considered.
